The taste of the Mediterranean – prepare Spanish specialties

Spanish is one of the most interesting European cuisines, try one of the delicious recipes for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Gazpacho stew

Required:

  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 4 teaspoons tomato puree
  • 6 dl yogurt
  • 2 onions
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 larger tomatoes
  • 3 Bell pepper
  • 150 g of ham
  • 2 hot peppers
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 liter of water

Preparation:

Make a small frying pan from the oil and flour. Allow to cool. Add cold water, stir slowly and bring to a boil. Add the tomato puree, salt to taste. Add the yogurt, cool well in the fridge. In separate bowls, prepare onions, hard-boiled eggs, bell peppers, ham, cucumber, hot peppers and fried bread. Serve the soup cold, and each of the guests will sprinkle it according to their taste in the plate they choose.

Catalina Cream

Required:

  • 2 teaspoons density
  • 1/2 liter of milk
  • 1 stick of vanilla
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 120 g of sugar
  • 1/2  teaspoon of water

Preparation:

Mix the density with a little milk, bring the rest to a boil, then add the vanilla and cinnamon sticks. Whisk the yolks and 60 g of sugar with a whisk. Remove the vanilla and cinnamon from the milk, stirring slowly, add the boiled milk and the whipped yolks. Put the pan on the steam, add the beaten density and stir until it thickens. Pour into small bowls and refrigerate for 3-4 hours. Add half a tablespoon of water to the rest of the sugar to melt and get a nice caramel color. Pour a thin layer of hot caramel over the surface of the cream in the plates and leave them to cool for another half an hour.
